Theresa Bill, co-founder and long-time Secretary Treasurer at Pelican Wire has recently retired. Along with her husband, Larry, Theresa co-founded Pelican Wire in 1969, which started out of their garage in Illinois. Theresa and Larry saw a need for a custom manufacturer of resistance wire and successfully grew the business to be a leading producer of resistance and thermocouple wire and cable.  They always had a plan in mind to relocate their company to Florida which is why the name Pelican Wire was chosen.  In 1975, they realized their dream and moved the company to Naples, FL, where Pelican Wire remains today.

Aberdare Cables Appoints New CEO

Aberdare Cables, the power cable manufacturer subsidiary of Powertech Technologies, part of the Altron group, has appointed Keith Edmondas its CEO, effective September 1.



Edmond first joined Aberdare in 2009 as CFO. He was then appointed marketing, sales and distribution director in 2010 and in March this year promoted to CEO-designate, after the announcement of the retirement of Harry Coetzee from the end of August.



“Aberdare Cables is one of the largest operations within Powertech and a significant business in the Altron group. It was imperative that we appoint a strong leader to drive this business forward,” said Powertech CEO Neil Kayton.
