Tag: Product Release

OFS is pleased to announce the expansion of the AccuRibbon® DC Fiber Optic Cable product family to include fiber counts up to 864.  These totally gel-free ribbon cables will be available in dielectric and metallic/armored versions. Currently, AccuRibbon DC cables are offered in fiber counts up to 432.

These 100% gel-free cables are designed to significantly reduce both cable preparation times and cable weights, which help lower deployment costs, reduce splicing expenses and speed installation/restoration times.

Super-absorbent polymer (SAP) tapes replace the gel in AccuRibbon DC cables to impede water migration in the cable core.  These cables and water-block ...

Omnetics Offers Micro to Nano EMI Cables

by wirelinks on 05/15/2013 - 12:51 am
Tag: Product Release

Miniature electronics continue to add circuit functions and increased circuit speed while reducing size and increasing portability. To serve these demands, miniature cable harnesses use fine gauge wiring to remain flexible allowing them to withstand multiple signal systems while remaining robust for the most rugged applications. When needed, micro and nano-connectors are available with locking-systems enabling continuous performance in high shock and vibration environments. To provide signal protection from EMI sources, cable shielding with grounding and drain wires are applied.

As the number of circuit functions increase, the resulting wire harnesses must support a mixture of signal paths, ...

HELUKABEL announced that its NANOFLEX line of hygienic control power and data cables have been approved by UL and CSA. With these latest approvals, the NANOFLEX series can be used in U.S. and Canadian industries that require machinery and their component parts to resist the growth of micro-organisms.

For these industry applications, which include food, beverage and medical manufacturing/packaging, the cable’s conductors are enclosed in a specially-formulated PUR outer jacket that prohibits bacterial growth, thereby preventing products from being contaminated due to exposure to harmful micro-organisms. Furthermore, the NANOFLEX’s outer jacket is hydrolysis and detergent r ...

Asia One Marine has introduced its Fishcable this year, which aims to reduce pollution caused by ropes greased with petrol based or synthetic chemical greases.

The company says that when large fishing boats use wire ropes on decks and in the sea, their catch may touch the wire ropes of the nets and seines.

Fishcable is entirely manufactured with non polluting grease, formulated in France. From string stretching to strand forming and wire rope braiding, a special food grade Fishcable grease is used at every step of the production, ensuring a good lubrication and an environmentally safe product.

This grease is food grade (H1) and its stains are easily removed, with substantial benefits fo ...
