Now that summer vacations are complete, all of us are again focused on our business and "to do" lists that were pushed aside for the season.  Close to the top of your list should be the finalization of your plans to attend the 2012 IWCS Cable · Connectivity Symposium!

The conference is less than two months away.  The 2012 event will maintain the high standards of the 60 conferences that have preceded it, with 120 papers, 120 exhibits, Professional Development Courses, and terrific opportunities to network with old friends and new.

Hotel Booking

The official conference hotels are filling rapidly.  Our apologies to those who attempted to make a booking in the Hotel Biltmore in recent weeks.  We discovered that the online booking engine had failed and many were turned away.  That is now fixed and the Biltmore is ready to accept your reservation.

The Courtyard is very near at its capacity, with some availability remaining on most nights.

Follow the Hotel Reservation link on the IWCS website, under the "Conference" tab, to make your hotel reservation.  Please keep in mind that the IWCS accepts a financial risk in blocking rooms at attractive rates for attendees.  We appreciate your cooperation in using the Conference hotels for your lodging needs.

Registration

Online pre-registration is open and offering Conference registration at a substantial discount to the onsite fees.  All the information needed for pre-registration is available at the IWCS Website, under the "Conference" tab.  Register early and save more than 20%!

Monday Night Football

One of the IWCS Conference events that has always proved very popular for attendees has been Monday Night Football.  Our friends at Cable Components Group have once again organized a great social gathering for the IWCS Conference, open to all attendees.

Social hour (food and beverage for all) starts at 6.00pm in Ballroom A after the IWCS Suppliers Exhibition has closed for the day. CCG is pleased to welcome Special Guest, Troy Brown, former New England Patriot wide receiver who will speak at 8:00 PM and announce the 8:30 PM kickoff of the Pittsburgh versus Kansas City game, then stay briefly for autographs.

A great networking opportunity and a lot of fun for all!!

Plenary Session

Our featured keynoter for the plenary session on Monday is Michael T Jones, Chief Technology Advocate for Google.  Join in this rare opportunity to hear one of the architects of modern communications give us a view to the future.
